6. Things Every 80s Kid Had to Have

Generally every object you see in this image dominated the playground of the 1980s. Every child has to have cassette cassettes; let's not start with Game Boy Color. You used your whole allotment on blank tapes back then to record tunes from the radio. Even better was walking about with those heavy headphones fast-forwarding through the dull sections of every single song.
The 1980s brought many wonders, many so numerous that it is very difficult to count. Clearly falling within the category are walkmans, cassette tapes, the first Game Boy Colour, Not to overlook, though, the other classic objects that shaped our early years. Recall the Rubik's Cube that both delighted and annoyed us equally? Alternatively the Transformers toys that exceeded first appearances. What about those bright slap wristbands that some colleges strangely outlawed? And who could overlook the Trapper Keeper, the best organizer available for every hip youngster? The 1980s were a treasure of devices and gizmos that molded our generation. We spent hours attempting to keep our Tamagotchis alive, traded Garbage Pail Kids cards, rocked out with our Keytar. These were our valued items, each with a memory connected, not only toys. Looking back, it's incredible how much delight these basic, often low-tech objects brought. Though modern standards might define them as rudimentary, to us they were the height of cool.
